Want a career in law enforcement or in any military branch? Then join the Los Angeles Couny Sheriff Explorer Academy.

Based on the actual Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Academy, you will experience 18 challenging weeks of tough physical fitness, close quarter drill movements, uniform inspection, military protocol, and discipline. You will learn about subjects in criminal law, narcotics control, gangs, law enforcement procedures, self-defense, firearms, and leadership.

Requirements:

Between ages of 15-21
Maintain a 2.0 GPA
Good moral character

Steps: Attend an interview and mandatory orientation and begin academy training in September or January of each year at Lancaster station.

Overcome the challenge, wear the uniform, graduate from the toughest academy in the county, and earn the title of Los Angeles County Sheriff Explorer.
